Low-pressure system approaches tonight

Rain passes today before the first impacts of a fresh low-pressure system begins to make an impact.

Weather outlook

A band of heavy rain pushes east over Ireland this morning, into the UK from around 10:00 am.

Meanwhile, a low-pressure system is gradually moving in from the west and will pass north of the UK, with first impacts being felt from this evening.

Highs of around 11°C in western Wales, southern Ireland, and south-west England this afternoon.
