Breakfast brief
Little change as cold spell continues

Icy conditions again this morning, before some warmth arrives in the afternoon in places.

Little change in the outlook today as the current cold spell continues, with a chance of snow returning overnight for some.

Kickstarting your morning

Welcome to the Breakfast Brief, your first look at the day's forecast and a chance to catch up on what you may have missed.

Weather outlook

An overcast start to the day across much of Ireland and Scotland, clearer skies across England. Those clear skies are likely to lead to another frosty morning, with sub-zero temperatures across the UK and Ireland.

Some snowy showers remain over eastern Scotland this morning, with a band of rain arriving in Ireland and south-west England overnight, which may also turn to snow in the early hours of Friday.
