UV levels still high across much of the UK, but drops in Northern Ireland, and Ireland, to low.

Highs fall a little to the low-20s for most today, as cloud cover builds towards a cooler weekend.

Weather outlook

A much cloudier day than seen recently, particularly over Ireland, where it is almost coast-to-coast cloud cover. Some rain for northern Scotland and south-west Wales, but otherwise remaining dry and warm.
