Breakfast brief: Frosty start but calm and dry

Breakfast brief
Frosty start but calm and dry

Staying dry throughout the day, with clear, sunny skies for many.

Freezing temperatures overnight lead to a frosty start, but the day is pleasant and dry.

Kickstarting your day

Welcome to the Breakfast Brief, your first forecast for the day and a chance to catch up on what you may have missed.

Weather outlook

A cold and frosty start to the day for many commuters and school runners. It will be best to get out early to heat the car after sub-zero temperatures through the night for many, particularly in-land.

Though cold to start, the day is dry. Overcast in places but very little in the way of rain or snow other than very brief showers in the far south-east England.
