Freezing start before warmth builds

A chilly commute before warmth spreads.

Temperatures are on the rise from today, but not until after a frosty morning.

Welcome to the Breakfast brief, bringing your first forecast of the day and a peep at the world as captured by our users.

Weather outlook

After freezing temperatures in northern regions, temperatures rise to the mid-teens, and continue to rise on Thursday. Otherwise, there is some cloud cover with gusting winds building in Ireland and south-west England this afternoon.
