Across the UK, it is another gloomy day, with some light showers. Similar in Ireland, though from midday a band of heavier rain moves north-east through the country.

Wind gusts grow in strength in Ireland by the afternoon. Rising to peaks of around 50 mph (80 km/h) along the west coast.
