After morning rain and snow showers over eastern Scotland, the skies clear across the UK and Ireland into the evening.

Where it remains mostly dry, other than for those in southern England where a band of rain moves over from the early afternoon.

Gusting winds remain for a time over Ireland, Scotland, and south-west England, but broadly dissipate overnight.
