Bank holiday fun
Activities whatever the weather

While sunshine is making an appearance for some of us this Bank Holiday, rain is also dominating the picture.

While some of us are experiencing more sunshine than others, here are some suggestions of what you can do with a range of activities available, whatever the weather.

Exploring the outdoors is one of the options open to you, especially with children a nature walk is perfect in spring to take in your local environment, particularly if you are one of the lucky ones under sunshine!

In particular, take advantage of the gorgeous spring blooms in your area, like the cherry blossom, which can still be found in numerous hot spots, especially in National Trust gardens, arboretums or woodlands.

If there is still rain in your area however, there’s no need to let it ruin your day, in fact it opens a world of new possibilities.

You could take advantage of our Weather School experiments, such as one of these ideas listed below:

  • Make your very own cloud in a bottle!
  • Create a sun dial
  • You could even make your own barometer

Otherwise, just relax where you can and enjoy an additional day to yourself.
