Approaching 16-18°C
Big swing to warmer days

Warmth spreads across the UK and Ireland later this week.

The UK and Ireland see a warming trend from Wednesday, after a bitterly cold start to the week.

By Thursday afternoon, highs are approaching 16-18°C in parts of England and Wales, while widely reaching the mid-teens in Ireland.

A marked shift from the freezing temperatures felt on Tuesday morning as we enter astronomical spring Thursday morning.

The change is more notable in some northern areas, with Glasgow seeing a low of around -4°C Wednesday morning before soaring to highs of up to 14°C come Thursday afternoon.
