Across England and Wales
Thunderstorm risk to start the week

Weather warnings cover much of Wales and a large area across England on Monday, with thunderstorms expected by the afternoon.

The outbreaks will be scattered, and are currently forecast to begin from around 02:00 pm. Wales can expect the most widespread thundery showers.

By around 09:00 pm the storms will dissipate, leaving clearer evening skies across the UK with highs of up to 17 °C at the time in the areas impacted.

On Tuesday the storm risk returns but is isolated to southern Wales and south-west England along the Bristol Channel.
