Weather phenomenon ends suddenly

All signs pointed to a La Niña year, until January where temperatures in the Pacific Ocean suddenly started rising.

La Niña is the cooler period of the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO), both sides bring big changes to weather patterns around the world.
