Weekend weather
A mixed bag across the UK & Ireland

Some spells of rain and blustery winds at times, mainly in the north and west.

Saturday morning, 26th October, will see showers across the south-east to start. More cloud in general strewn across eastern portions, with this continuing to clear through the day.

A good deal of sunshine across large parts of England, Wales and Scotland away from the west, while cloud and rain will push into Ireland and Northern Ireland.

This band of rain will continue to track eastwards heading into the evening and overnight, albeit dissipating as it does so, and turning chilly in spots where skies remain clear.

A chilly start to Sunday morning with temperatures down to 2°C in Cork and Waterford, where it looks to be coldest.

Cloud and rain will quickly increase once again from the west through the morning, bringing another area of heavy rain to Ireland, Northern Ireland, western Scotland and later north-west England too.

Brisk winds will accompany the rain, gusting 30 - 40 mph in the north-west, while staying dry and sunny, but fairly chilly elsewhere.

Rain will continue to sink in more widely overnight however, before gradually easing into Monday morning.
