Weather outlook

A fresher day following the heat of Wednesday, with temperatures dropping down to the low-twenties. Peak temperatures are expected to reach around 23°C in Maidstone and 22°C in Ipswich.

Plenty of sunny spells though a few showers are possible in the north and west, these slightly heavier and more organised for a time across western Scotland. Becoming mainly dry and clear away from here overnight.
