Weather trend
Unsettled with frequent wind and rain

Low pressure remains dominant through the rest of the month and into early November, keeping things changeable and wet.

More Atlantic weather systems will cross the UK and Ireland this week, bringing further spells of rain or showers interspersed with brighter and drier interludes.

Winds could become quite strong and gusty at times, but more particularly on Thursday when a deeper low pressure area approaches from the southwest.

The highest rain amounts meanwhile are likely to fall across western and southwestern Scotland, parts of Ireland as well as Wales.

This is typical with the expected weather pattern, where winds predominantly blow from the west or southwest.

Temperatures should mostly be around the average for the time of year, with daytime highs between 10 and 15°C in many towns and cities.

Factor in the sometimes strong winds and the feels-like temperature will be several degrees lower, though.

Looking ahead into early November, little change is expected as the Atlantic remains active and there is even the risk of further gales depending on the exact track and development of new low pressure systems.
