The West London town of Northolt has seen the hottest day of the year.

Thursday is officially the hottest day of 2025 so far, after a high of 21°C in Northolt, West London.

Recorded Thursday afternoon, around 03:00 pm, the high marks a widely warm day across England and Wales.

Despite being the high point of the year so far, the reading did fall just short of the all-time date temperature record which remains at 21.5°C in Cambridge on March 20th, 1972.
