Gusting winds pick up across the UK and Ireland on Thursday, and stick around into the weekend.

A large low-pressure system close to the Faroe Islands is bringing the stronger gusts across both countries. Those towards the north-west can expect to feel the most force.

Alongside the wind, regular bouts of rain and showers are also moving through on the WeatherRadar.

The picture for Saturday shows little change either, with western Scotland seeing stronger gusts while more widely gusts of 30 to 40 mph are expected.

Throughout Sunday, conditions finally begin to ease from the south initially.
