Warmer, gusty, rain too
A little of everything this week

Brighter to the east, but cloud and rain move through from the west.

The coming days bring together everything we've seen in recent weeks, with a mix of showers, sunny spells, gusting winds, and above average temperatures.

Tuesday starts cloudy in the west. Patchy rain and drizzle affect Ireland and west to southwestern areas of the UK. In the east, it remains brighter but turns cloudier through the day.

It will be generally mild, with highs of 16 - 17°C in the southeast and east after a chillier morning.

Wednesday stays rather cloudy for most. Spells of rain move through, turning heavier at times across Ireland and western parts of the UK.

It will also be windy in the west, with coastal gusts reaching around 40 mph.

The unsettled pattern continues into Thursday and Friday. Further spells of rain or showers are likely, with breezy conditions at times.

Temperatures remain around or slightly above average overall but with little chance of seeing any further records for the time of the year.
